Privacy Policy

The short version: the blender runs in your browser, your shortlist lives in your browser, and the only thing that ever leaves your device is a pair of names you deliberately submit to the optional AI mode.

Names you enter

Blending is entirely client side. The two names you type, the context you pick and the candidates produced are never sent to a server. There is no database of name pairs because no such data reaches us.

The draft checker and the blind name test are the same. Everything stays in the page.

Your shortlist

Names you save are written to your own browser's local storage on your device. We cannot read them, they are not linked to you, and clearing your browsing data deletes them. There are no accounts, so we hold no names, emails or passwords.

The optional AI mode

If you tick the AI-assisted box and run it, the two names and the context are sent through our server to a language model so it can answer. That input is used to produce suggestions and is not stored by us, not attached to any profile and not used for anything else. Everything else on the site works without it.

We apply a per-address rate limit to that endpoint to prevent abuse, which means temporarily holding a request count in server memory. It is discarded on restart and is not used to identify anyone.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting aggregate analytics to count page views and see which tools are used. Analytics never receives the names you type.

Advertising

The site is supported by advertising. Third party ad vendors, including Google, may use cookies to serve ads based on prior visits to this and other sites. You can opt out of personalised advertising at adssettings.google.com or aboutads.info. There are no affiliate links here and nothing is sold.

Children

This is a general audience site and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone.
